Hi, my name is Mr. Amos. I have 14 years of experience successfully working with diverse student populations with a wide range of abilities within the setting III, EBD ABLE program, at Jefferson High School. Enhancing student skills and performance, through observational data collection, detailed documentation, critical analysis of short term and long term needs is paramount to improving student outcomes. I have created a classroom and program culture with high expectations for all learners, which includes a highly structured setting; clear rules, boundaries, routines, rigorous academic goals, assisting in the development of individual post-secondary pathways, and clear communication between school and home. This highly structured environment supports individual students needs both academically and behaviorally to promote the best possible life trajectory for each student with an emphasis on career goals, knowledge of community resources, and providing exposure to a variety post-secondary options based on individual students strengths and interest.
