Lynne Johnson began teaching at Jefferson in 1998-99. She majored in International Relations and German at Hamline University. While at Hamline, Lynne spent her junior year studying in Germany and Vienna, Austria. After receiving her BA, she worked on an archaeological dig in the Negev Desert of Israel, taught English in Guam and spent two years teaching at Saint Bernard's Catholic School in Saint Paul.  She also spent a year in Austria as a Fulbright English teaching assistant  after completing her MA degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of St. Thomas. Lynne has been teaching AP European and World History since 2001 and has attended several AP Summer Institutes at Carleton College in Northfield, MN. She has also been a reader for the College Board over the past six summers for the AP World History Exam. Additionally, during the past two summers she has studied in Turkey and Germany on fellowships through the Turkish Cultural Foundation and Goethe Institut.
