Meredith Aby-Keirstead grew up in Worthington, Minnesota (the turkey capital of the world). She graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a degree in history, women's studies, and Spanish. Meredith also has a masters in curriculum and instruction from the College of St. Scholastica and a certificate in Gifted and Talented Education from St. Thomas University.  

Meredith is the high school gifted and talented coordinator.  She coordinates Dimensions Academy High School, a STEM focused early college program at Normandale Community College, which serves gifted Jefferson and Kennedy students.  She coordinates the Nobel creativity program at Kenendy High School.  Lastly, Meredith serves gifted students at both Bloomington high schools.

This year she continuing to serve as the GT coordinator for both high schools and is teaching social studies part time at KHS (AP US Government and Politics and a pilot Dimensions social studies class).

She has been teaching in Bloomington Public Schools since 1997 and is the proud mother of a very creative 4th grader.
