Jefferson senior earns top SAT score

Jefferson High School senior David Floeder has earned a top score of 1600 on the SAT. On average, only 0.03 percent of students taking the SAT earn a top score.

Floeder is a graduate of the Dimensions Academy High School program for gifted 9th and 10th grade students, a National Merit Scholarship finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction and National Honor Society member. He is a member of the Jefferson tennis team and an avid chess player.

Floeder plans to attend the University of Minnesota in the fall, where he has been accepted into the College of Science and Engineering Honors Program.

The SAT is a standardized test recognized by many colleges and scholarship programs. Test content areas include reading, writing and language, math and an optional essay portion.
