Dick Snydle

Dick Snydle, Teacher/Coach

Dick Snydle roamed the halls of Bloomington Jefferson High School from 1970 until his retirement in 2002.  During this time, he taught Physics, Astronomy, and Mathematics.  In the fall, Dick was an Assistant Girls Soccer Coach from 1978-2002.  He was selected as Assistant Soccer Coach of the Year in 1992 and was on the bench during Jefferson’s 4 state championships in 1979, 1980, 1982 and 1984.  In the winter, Dick coached the Jefferson wrestling team from 1973 to 1993.  Coach Snydle also coached the Girls Softball program for 12 years from 1990-2001.  In addition to Dick’s coaching and teaching duties, he worked as a scoreboard official in football and boys’ and girls’ basketball. Currently, Dick lives in Bloomington and has spent time traveling, golfing and enjoying his grandchildren with his wife and fellow Hall of Fame inductee Mary Snydle.
