Tom Ruud

Tom (Class of 1971) was an outstanding three-sport athlete at Lincoln and Jefferson High Schools. In football, Tom was captain, All Conference, and All State in 1970. His jersey #32 (also worn by his brother John) was retired by Jefferson High School. University of Nebraska Big 8 All Conference, All American Honorable Mention and Scholar Athlete of the Year. In the NFL, Tom was a first-round draft pick, playing for the Buffalo Bills from 1975-1977, and for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1978-1979. Tom is a Nebraska Football Hall of Fame Inductee. Presently, Tom lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he is a youth football coach and volunteer with Youth Benefits.
