The Jefferson Robotics Club consists of 9-12th grade students interested in learning the skills of designing, engineering, and programming different forms of robotic structures. These skills are then tested at different competitions, mainly the US FIRST robotics competition, and through small group projects throughout the year. The club is structured around the main subgroups of making a robot function: electrical, computer programming, mechanical, pneumatics, public relations, and other areas of importance and interest. Each group is managed by both a student leader and adult mentor(s), professionals who volunteer from outside of Jefferson. Our group welcomes all students, no experience is necessary. It should be noted that our meeting times increase dramatically during the building phase of our competition season, January - March, but we always have space/time for anyone who is interested. Robot it up!!
