Jaysen Anderson began his career as a social studies teacher in Brooklyn Center where he taught at the junior and senior high levels and the alternative program and mentored new teachers. Under his leadership as director at Urban League Academy High School, his efforts resulted in increased enrollment, student achievement, and attendance rates.
He joined North St. Paul in 2012 as dean of students at John Glenn Middle School before becoming the assistant principal at North High School for three years. He led school initiatives on equity and technology and directed change initiatives around flipped classrooms and digital learning. He was hired as Principal of Bloomington Jefferson in the spring of 2016.
Mr. Anderson has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education/social studies from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and a Career and Technical Education Certificate from Bemidji State University. He holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and administrative licensure from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and is currently completing a doctorate in educational leadership from Bethel University. Jaysen Anderson lives in Eagan and when not working enjoys time with his family, attending sporting events, and traveling to as many places as he can.
Mr. Anderson is extremely proud and excited to serve as principal of Bloomington Jefferson High School.

Justin Hall grew up in Bloomington and is a former Jefferson graduate. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and his Master's in Education at the University of Minnesota where he also played football for the Golden Gophers. He earned his educational specialist degree and administrative licensure from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Justin has taught math at Kennedy High School for the past 8 years. In that time he has served in a number of different roles including: math lead, PLC lead, dean of students and as a football and boys' golf coach. “I am excited to be back at Jefferson working with these outstanding students, staff and parents."

Carrie Jarvis is proud to serve as Assistant Principal at Jefferson High School; she joined the staff in 2015. Prior to coming to Bloomington Public Schools, Ms. Jarvis worked for seven years at the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists holding the roles of dean of students (3 years), post-secondary advisor (2 years), and English teacher (2 years). Ms. Jarvis started her career as an English teacher (4 years) at Vernon Hills High School in Illinois.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Ms. Jarvis attended New Trier High School. She completed her undergraduate degree in English education and sexuality studies at the University of Iowa; she earned her master’s of education degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago; and, completed her education specialist degree at the University of Saint Thomas.
Ms. Jarvis loves working with the awesome students at Jefferson High School. Go Jags!
David has been with Bloomington for the last 20+ years. Since 1994 he has taught math and driver education at JHS. More recently in 2012, David spent two years as a district Qcomp peer coach at OGMS, KHS, & JHS. Currently, Dave is serving as the dean of students at JHS. David grew up on a hobby farm in western Wisconsin. He attended UW-La Crosse for his undergraduate degree and UW-River Falls for his administrative degree. When not in school, Dave enjoys spending time with his family doing anything outdoors.
